Dear Dancers,

We're thrilled to announce our first open house of the year, happening this Saturday, April 27! Last time, our free event attracted over 250 attendees, and we're confident this one will be just as fantastic. Did you sign up yet?

April kept us busy with guest artists, team auditions, and new classes. May promises to be equally exciting with our team showcase and the Folklife festival. But before we dive into those, we have a few minor updates to our weekly class calendar for May.

New:

• Sensual Bachata Training Team (Open): Thursdays 8:30-9:45pm with Alexa & Cathan

New Time:

• Traditional Bachata: Now Tuesdays 6:30pm starting May 7 with Harrison & Morgan

Going away

• Dance Conditioning Class: Last class April 30

• Salsa X Ti Practica Social Dancing Nights: We are sad to say goodbye to our weekly practica. The last two socials will be May 1 and May 8. Come dance for FREE for these last two weeks!

Series

• Heels Class: Our ever-popular Heels class now offers two separate tracks, including a drop-in friendly Friday night session and Thursday Part II Heels series starting May 2. Get ready to strut your stuff and unleash your inner diva!

• Hip-Hop Series: Our hip-hop series just wrapped up their very first video project, and they're gearing up for one more six-week series starting tonight Friday April 26, along with a pop-up workshop before the summer break. Get ready to groove!

Assessment & Other Dates

• Sensual Bachata Assessment: Next assessment is May 7 Tuesday 6:30pm during Sensual 150 class. Assessment is for Sensual 150, 201 and 301. Please note that the Sensual Bachata assessment will be conducted in-class for students already enrolled in the series as well take place separately during our public assessment day.

• Baila Day Open House: Baila Day is on April 26, 2024! Join us for a day of celebration with free classes offered throughout the day, followed by a free social dancing session to end on a high note. It's the ideal opportunity to introduce your friends and family to the joy of dance. Check out the schedule to plan your day – we can't wait to see you all there!

• Spring Showcase: Saturday May 18 3pm will be our spring showcase for our 10+ performance soloist and teams. Our dedicated students and staff invest months refining their skills and perfecting choreography in anticipation of this showcase. All are welcome!

• Salsa & Bachata Showcase at Folklife: Monday May 27 5-9pm at Seattle Center. Our studio will be closed this day to support this great community event with free lesson, dance performance, live band by Yambambo, outdoor social dancing. 

• Kids Summer Camp: Calling all young dancers aged 4-12 – our summer camp has been announced! It's the perfect opportunity for budding dancers to explore their passion in a fun and supportive environment.

CLASS CHANGES (MARCH 11-15 2024)

Many of our instructors and dancers will be headed to Oaxaca, Mexico for a major dance competition. We are really proud of everyone for taking on this big challenge and representing our studio. We wish them the best of luck!! We'll be sharing their competition information on social media so you can cheer them on at home. 💪

Class changes will only be for one week only. We resume our normal schedule on March 18, 2024.
