BachaZouk Workshop with Bianca & Krish

We’re excited to bring you a special Bachazouk workshop with Bianca & Krish from Vancouver! Join us on Sunday, October 12 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM for an afternoon of exploring this innovative partner dance fusion. Bianca and Krish have trained directly with certified Bachazouk instructors from Spain, ensuring you’ll learn proper foundations and technique in this brand-new style.

What is BachaZouk?

Bachazouk is a fusion of Bachata and Brazilian Zouk that has developed into its own unique style. It combines the music, timing, and step patterns of Bachata with the fluid body movement, head rolls, and connection of Zouk. This fusion isn’t just about blending dances—it has its own techniques and training methods designed to bring out the best of both worlds. Bachazouk allows dancers to explore musicality, flow, and creativity in a new way while maintaining solid foundations.

What to Expect

This two-hour workshop is open to all levels and will include both solo training and partnerwork:

Hour 1: Follows Technique & Styling
Build body awareness, control, and precision through body waves, isolations, head movements, and footwork. Learn how balance, posture, and timing create clean execution and expressive styling. Leads are encouraged to join—understanding these mechanics improves partnerwork for everyone!
Hour 2: Bachazouk Partnerwork
Apply solo technique to partner dancing with guided exercises, musicality drills, and short sequences. Experience how Bachata rhythm merges with Zouk’s fluid movement for a dynamic and expressive style of dance.

About the Instructor:
BIO

Bianca and Krish bring a wealth of international training and passion to the dance floor.

Bianca began her dance journey in Hip Hop and Sexy Street, building a strong foundation in musicality, performance, and confidence. Living in Spain, she immersed herself in the Latin dance scene, training extensively in Bachata and Brazilian Zouk, and completing advanced Zouk programs. With experience performing on a Bachata Sensual ladies styling team, she brings precision, expression, and artistry into her teaching, emphasizing body control, autonomy, and solo technique within partner dancing.
Krish brings over 15 years of Indian classical dance experience, giving him a deep foundation in rhythm, discipline, and movement quality. His Latin dance journey spans across Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, and Taiwan, where he earned multiple Brazilian Zouk certifications. For him, dance is both technique and expression—an avenue for connection, culture, and creativity.

Together, Bianca and Krish train under Bachazouk founders Carlos & Paz and have completed in-person bootcamps in Barcelona with Masa & Polina. They are committed to sharing their passion for this evolving fusion in an inclusive and empowering way.
