Commercial Reggaetón with Angelica
Sunday, November 9 • 1:00 – 2:30 pm
What’s the class about?
Come explore commercial reggaetón in this open-level workshop with Angelica. In 90 minutes we’ll cover a balance of foundational movement, musicality, and choreography. You’ll learn grooves, isolations, footwork, body rolls, and a short combo you can take home. Expect a warm-up, technique drills, breakdowns, and full runs with coaching and styling tips.
What is commercial reggaetón?
Reggaetón as a musical style grew from dancehall, reggae, hip hop, and Latin rhythms, anchored by the dembow beat. Commercial reggaetón tends to blend street/club sensibility, Latin flavor, and urban choreography. It emphasizes attitude, rhythm, sensual movement, body isolations, hips, and sometimes merges elements of hip hop, dancehall, or Latin fusion. It’s a style made for the club, the stage, and the social floor — expressive, high energy, and playful.
